Growing Pain Demo Update!
Here's what's going on...
Hi everybody! Thank you all so much for playing, commenting on, and uploading videos of Growing Pain! Knowing that not only is there interest for but excitement about this game means the world to me as the solodev, so please keep on letting me know what you think about the game as development progresses (the positive and the negative - I'm happy to hear it all).
Today I'm releasing the first big update to the demo. I want to particularly thank the game dev ChillingCircuits for playing the demo and giving me a very detailed bug report that I based this entire update off of. Thanks so much for your help!
New Features
- Full implementation of the inventory
Previously in the demo the inventory was only used in the introduction of the game. Now, for every time you need to use an item, the inventory is fully functional.
- The ability to interact with more objects in the world
Try clicking on everything! More items in the shed and outdoors are interactable now, bringing more life to the campsite and more depth to Molly as a character
Bug Fixes
- Various visual fixes
- When Molly passes through the hole cut in the fence, she is behind the fence as opposed to before when she was on top
- Fixed a bug that had the loading logo appearing before the screen faded to black
- Fixed bug that allowed the player to repeat events in the camp ranger's office several times
- Made it impossible for the player to accidentally select other items in the camp ranger's office while solving the bookshelf puzzle
Conclusion
So, that's where the game is at right now! Growing Pain still has a long way to go until it sees a full release, so please feel free to let me know if you find any other bugs or have any comments or questions at all about the game.
I hope you all enjoy this updated demo!

This is so fun! I love point and clicks, and this one is so cool! I love the art style and the personality infused into the characters, specifically Molly, but also Brielle and the others too. The safe puzzle was a little tough for me, but after reading the walkthrough doc, it made perfect sense. Very clever, too! Can't wait for more updates!
